We introduce somatic tools like breathwork to help your body feel safer during stress. You’ll also begin installing your first Anchor Habit — a small, consistent practice that supports your nervous system.

No, this program is meant to support you and help you build healthier habits while you’re in the usual flow of work and life, even if you’re in a high pressure environment.

Yes. As long as you are willing to put the work in with us, we’ll create a program that helps you in your current context. This is not a one-size-fits-all and never could be. We’ll customize the program to fit your schedule and support your current life. The sessions will help you stand on firmer ground as you are challenged. 

No. Our clients usually work with us six months – 1 year after they experience a severe burnout, especially if it was your first time. If you are experiencing severe mental or physical health issues we recommend you work with a mental health professional and come back when you are ready to build a new lifestyle. In the meantime, we hope our content can inspire you. 

No. This is not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical advice. I no longer practice medicine, instead I am a Functional and Lifestyle Medicine health coach certified by the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and the Institute of Functional Medicine. I coach and facilitate rather than diagnose and treat. 

The program requires a minimum of 7 hours to complete the six week coaching component, and we allow spreading out for a period of up to 3 months to fit your schedule! In addition to those, you are invited to participate in optional group workshops, join community challenges, explore our custom content journeys, and chat with your coach via our membership app! 

Designed for a hybrid set-up, some of the sessions are on Zoom, and others are at The Gumption Health Studio, located at The Courtyard @ 1850 Union Street in San Francisco. We encourage participants to attend one or two sessions in person because of the accelerated benefits these offer.

However, the program can be done fully remote if that is what you prefer or need! You are also welcome to come to all of your sessions in person. Most participants choose a hybrid of virtual and in-person.

Not at all. We believe in humans > tech. If you do not want to participate in biomarkers or use a wearable you will still get the same benefits. We still do validated survey data and accountability trackers to still measure progress without lab tests or devices. We believe that the right health approach is a matter of personality. Biohacking is certainly not for everyone.

I was a burned out medical professional. I left my career as a physician and became a successful data scientist, then burned out again: Depression. Back pain. Pre-diabetes. I couldn’t find balance. It was like I was drowning.
